The technology behind Clear SMILE Supra is the Ziemer FEMTO LDV Z8 femtosecond laser — a high-rate, low-energy laser platform.
The procedure follows five precise steps: detailed eye analysis maps your unique corneal shape, then the laser creates a smooth lenticule inside the cornea — a thin disc of tissue sculpted beneath the epithelium and Bowman's layer without ever creating a corneal flap, a technique known internationally as ReLEx SMILE (refractive lenticule extraction).
The lenticule is then gently removed through a keyhole incision under 4mm, the cornea naturally settles into its new shape, and structured aftercare guides recovery.
