Premium vision correction without removing corneal tissue. Also known as an implantable contact lens, ICL is designed for high myopia, thin corneas and refined visual quality — a biocompatible lens is placed inside the eye, and the procedure is fully reversible.
If your prescription is very high or your cornea is too thin for laser correction, ICL is often the superior choice. No corneal tissue is removed — instead, a soft, biocompatible lens works in harmony with your eye for crisp, high-definition vision.
ICL lens implantation at EYEONCE is a premium vision-correction option that never touches the cornea — instead, a biocompatible lens is placed inside the eye.
It's designed specifically for high myopia, thin corneas and patients seeking exceptional visual quality without laser reshaping, backed by the same doctor-led judgment, advanced diagnostics and structured follow-up as every other EYEONCE procedure.
The ICL — Implantable Collamer Lens — sits behind the iris and in front of the eye's natural lens, correcting vision without removing any corneal tissue or the natural lens itself, through a micro-incision, insertion, precise placement and final positioning.
EYEONCE uses the EVO Aqua ICL with CentraFLOW technology, an advanced phakic intraocular lens whose central-port design maintains the eye's natural aqueous fluid flow and removes the need for a separate iridotomy.
Because no corneal tissue is removed, ICL preserves the cornea's natural strength while correcting high myopia and astigmatism together, with a lower dry-eye risk than laser procedures and built-in UV protection.
It's the recommended path specifically for patients with high myopia or high astigmatism, very large pupils at night, thin corneas not suited to LASIK or LASEK, very dry eyes, or a history of corneal injury or disease.
Surgery itself is minimally invasive — a roughly 3mm micro-incision, folded lens insertion, precise positioning between the iris and natural lens, and final fixation — performed by ophthalmologists specialized in ICL surgery. Because the lens can be removed if needed, ICL remains fully reversible.
Recovery guidance is specific and time-based: stop soft contact lenses one week before surgery (two weeks for hard lenses), wear an eye shield during sleep for a week, avoid rubbing the eyes for a month, and avoid intense exercise, swimming and sauna for a month.
Every ICL plan runs through EYEONCE's precision system: 3D ocular analysis mapping axial length, anterior chamber depth, corneal curvature and astigmatism, 1:1 customized lens sizing and power calculation, doctor-led surgery, and structured post-op monitoring of visual outcomes over time.
This is paired with the same international patient care (clear communication, on-site interpretation, transparent process) extended across every EYEONCE procedure.
My prescription was too high for laser and I had almost given up. EYEONCE recommended ICL — a reversible lens, no cornea removed. Two days later I was sightseeing in Seoul with vision I never thought possible. I actually cried the next morning.
